ROSbot XL - Firmware installation

ROSbot XL's Digital Board is built around an STM32F4 microcontroller that handles the real-time tasks: motor control, odometry, IMU and battery monitoring. It talks to the robot's computer over Ethernet.

Source code

The firmware is open source: husarion/rosbot-firmware. The same repository holds the firmware for ROSbot 3, and the built firmware ships in the ROSbot snap.

Flashing the firmware

Open ROSbot XL's terminal (SSH or the desktop) and run:

husarion@rosbot:~$
sudo rosbot.flash
tip

If the flash fails and the flashing USB device no longer shows up, power the robot off and on again (a reboot is not enough) and repeat the commands.
