Panther Equipment Options
The Panther v1.2 platform can be configured with options that significantly increase the comfort and ease of working with the robot during the development of solutions and various tests and experiments. We have created this set of ready-made solutions based on our own and our clients' experiences to make work with Panther even more efficient.
PTH1.2
Panther v1.2 mobile platform is an industrial-grade, professional UGV designed with an outdoor environment in mind. It is an autonomous, open-source robot platform running ROS (Robot Operating System). The base platform integrates:
- Built-in Computer: Raspberry Pi 4B with Broadcom BCM2711 processor, quad-core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC @ 1.5GHz, and 4GB LPDDR4 RAM.
- Router: Teltonika RUTX11 - Dual-band (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Access Point / Client Mode, 4G LTE CAT 6 dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS)
- 4x Brushless Motor with planetary gearbox
- Inertial navigation system: PhidgetSpatial 3/3/3 Precision (3-axis compass, a 3-axis gyroscope, and a 3-axis accelerometer)
- Logitech F710 gamepad for manual control.

Rate of Protection (IP)
You can choose from the following methods to finalize the basic version of the Panther robot. Two types of device protection are available to suit the working conditions, following the guidelines of IEC 60529.
IP54
Ingress of dust is not entirely prevented, but it does not enter in sufficient quantity to interfere with the satisfactory operation of the equipment. This rating ensures complete protection against contact with tools and the ingress of objects. The enclosure also guards against the harmful effects of water splashing from any direction.
IP66
This rating guarantees that no dust can penetrate the enclosure, providing complete protection against contact with its interior components. Furthermore, the enclosure is fortified to endure powerful water jets projected from a 12.5 mm nozzle, originating from any direction, without causing harm.
Colors (COL)
We provide an option to choose the colors of the robot which will match your requirements.
COL01 - Standard
Standard colors - the bottom of the robot is creamy white (RAL9001) and the top of the robot is pure red (RAL3028). The elements inside of the robot are painted only in creamy white.
COL02 - Custom
Customized colors - the colors of those elements that are visible from the outside can be customized, but the color of the interior cannot be changed.
Battery (BAT)
If you need to use the robot for a long time without charging, you can enlarge the Battery inside the robot. A larger Battery can also be useful when the robot will work under a heavy load or will power energy-intensive devices. Detailed information about battery power consumption can be found in docs and links section of the Panther manual.
BAT01 - 720Wh
Standard 720Wh Li-Ion battery pack - as a default option for Panther it guarantees 3.5 h of work time.
BAT02 - 1440Wh
Enlarged 1440Wh Li-Ion battery pack - a bigger Battery increases Panthers' work time by up to 8 hours. When creating your configuration please take into consideration that it takes up more space in the robot, therefore this option is not available with the option PC03 (Lenovo ThinkStation P360 Tiny).
Wheels (WH)
Depending on your application, you can adapt your Panther to a completely different type of terrain by choosing a suitable set of wheels.
WH01 - Standard Pneumatic Wheels
Standard off-road wheels (with 145/70-6 tire) - large pneumatic tires perform well in mixed terrain. They provide both low rolling resistance on hard terrain and high traction off-road. Thanks to the large ground clearance, the robot is able to overcome thresholds, and obstacles like branches and rocks or even climb stairs.
WH02 - Mecanum Wheels
Mecanum wheels (8”) - the use of wheels with freely rotating rollers gives the robot an additional axis of freedom - allows the robot to move sideways. Moreover, the resistance at turning on the spot is almost the same as when driving straight. These wheels are perfect for flat concrete surfaces where maneuverability is the most required.
WH03 - Standard + Mecanum
Replaceable set 4x off-road + 4x mecanum - this option provides customers with two available sets of wheels: large pneumatic tires and mecanum wheels.

Wireless charger (WCH)
This system is powered by WiBotic wireless charging system and comprises two main components. One is installed in the robot and another is the ground station for charging the robot. WCH01 receiver is required for each robot in your fleet but you don't necessarily need as many ground stations as robots. The wireless charger supports the same power (about 200W) as the conventional wired charger, which is supplied with the robot as a backup charger.
WCH01 - Receiver
A set that integrates the receive coil (antenna), mounted on the front of the robot, and the on-board charger unit that delivers the received energy to the Panther's battery.
WCH02 - Ground Station
The ground station assembly contains a transmitter unit with embedded transmit coil (antenna), mounted on aluminum frame.
LIDAR (LDR)
We offer a wide range of LIDAR sensors from which you can choose products that will fit exactly your needs. Depending on the required ranging radius, fields of view, or protection rate, LIDAR technology integrated into your autonomy solution will upgrade its performance.

Slamtec RPLIDAR S1 (End-of-Life)
Slamtec RPLIDAR S1 - uses ToF technology, it can detect up to 9,200 white objects per second at a distance of up to 40 m and in a 360° range. Typical scanning frequency is 10 Hz and can be adjusted. The scanner is enclosed in a tight housing that protects it against external conditions. It communicates via the UART interface.
Slamtec RPLIDAR S3
Slamtec RPLIDAR S3 - small and portable, single beam LiDAR which adopts TOF (Time of Flight) ranging technology which guarantees stable ranging resolution with changing distance. With 40 m of ranging radius it can work in highlighted areas and it delivers high-resolution mapping performance in outdoor environments.
LDR10-18 - Ouster LIDARs
Ouster products combine great performance, reliability, size, weight, and strength which makes them one of the industry-leading products. They are designed for indoor and outdoor use in all weather conditions while ensuring a long service life. They can be easily integrated into autonomous vehicles, heavy machinery, robots, drones, and environmental mapping solutions.
LDR10-12
Ouster OS0 series (32, 64, 128) - are LIDARs with an ultra-wide 90° vertical field of view with 50 m of ranging. The great combination of price, performance, reliability, size, weight (447 g), and strength makes it one of the industry-leading products. IP68 and IP69K rate of protection ensures a long service life. OS0 can be easily integrated into heavy machinery and environmental mapping solutions.
LDR13-15
Ouster OS1 series (32, 64, 128) - are mid-range LIDARs with a 45° vertical field of view with 120 meters of range. Weighting only 447 g this series is designed for indoor and outdoor use (IP68, IP69K). OS1 can be used with multiple solutions such as robots or drones.
LDR16-18
Ouster OS2-series (32, 64, 128) - are a long-range 22.5° vertical field of view with 240 m of ranging LIDARs designed for all weather conditions (IP68, IP69K). With built-in IMU for SLAM algorithm support, OS2 can be used in speed autonomous robots and high-altitude drones.
LDR20-22 - Velodyne LIDARs
LDR20
Velodyne PUCK - is a small, high precision, 16-beam LIDAR with 100 m of range. The Dual Returns feature enables Velodyne’s sensors to deliver precise 3D image capture details of complex environments. Its reliability, power efficiency, and surround view make it the ideal solution for affordable low-speed autonomy.
LDR22
Velodyne Alpha Prime - is a high-precision 128 vertical beam, LIDAR with up to 245 m of range. High resolution (0.2° x 0.1°) and point density at full frame rate generates high-quality perception in a wide variety of light conditions, with advanced sensor-to-sensor interference mitigation, power efficiency, and thermal performance.
Camera (CAM)
Adding a camera into your Panther will not only broaden its different application but also in combination with LIDAR technology it will bring your mapping and measurements to another level.

CAM01 - Orbbec Astra
Orbbec Astra - provides computer vision that enables dozens of functions such as face recognition, gesture recognition, human body tracking, three-dimensional measurement, environment perception, and three-dimensional map reconstruction. Astra camera is optimized for long-range use cases (range up to 8 m), which makes it great for interactive systems, entertainment, retail, and robotics.
CAM02 - Intel RealSense D435
Intel RealSense D435 - small form factor camera with a range of up to 10 m can be integrated into any solution. It offers quality depth for a variety of applications. Its wide field of view is perfect for applications such as robotics or augmented and virtual reality, where seeing as much of the scene as possible is vital.
CAM03 - Stereolabs ZED 2
Stereolabs ZED 2 Stereo Camera - uses neural networks to reproduce human vision. Has a built-in IMU, barometer, and magnetometer. It’s able to detect objects with spatial context as well as capture video and depth with up to 120° field of view.
CAM04 - Stereolabs ZED 2i
Stereolabs ZED 2i Stereo Camera - with IP66-rated Enclosure ZED-2i is designed for outdoor applications and it comes with new lens options. Choose between a 2 mm lens for a wide field of view or a 4 mm lens for increased depth and image quality at long range. ZED 2i combines long-range depth perception with AI to perceive your environment in 3D. It is equipped with a built-in IMU, Barometer, and Magnetometer.
CAM06- Stereolabs ZED X
Stereolabs ZED X Stereo Camera - is equipped with dual 1920x1200 global shutter color sensors and all-new IMU. Its IP66 industrial-grade enclosure is perfect for robotic applications with an outdoor field environment. It can be synchronized with multiple devices at frame-level within 100 microseconds. ZED X stereo camera uses Neural Depth Engine 2 allows +50% more accurate depth maps.

PC02 - Intel NUC10 Performance

PC03 - Lenovo ThinkStation P360 Tiny
Lenovo ThinkStation P360 Tiny - is equipped with a 12-core 12th generation i7-12700T CPU (Alder Lake) and an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 graphics card. For professional users, the model is equipped with a dedicated NVIDIA T1000 with 8 GB of VRAM graphics system. The user has at his disposal an SSD with a capacity of 512 GB. One of the industry's smallest ISV-certified workstations, it's ideal for architects and engineers.
PC07 - ZED Box Orin NX 16GB
ZED Box Orin NX 16GB - a powerful AI computer offering spatial computing capabilities for autonomous robotics and smart video analytics. Equipped with Jetson Orin NX compute module which contains Ampere GPU + Arm® Cortex®-A78AE CPU + 16GB LPDDR5. Includes a quad-port GMSL2 interface to connect up to two StereoLabs ZED X cameras or four single GMSL2 cameras.
PC07 - ZED Box Orin NX 16GB (RTK)
The same as PC07 but with a built-in RTK GPS module (U-blox ZED-F9P) and a dedicated GPS RTK antenna.
Manipulators (MAN)
Replace human operators in dirty, dangerous, and dull jobs to reduce repetitive strain and accidental injuries. Depending on your application and business case you can apply a manipulator to Panther that can automate various tasks providing savings and satisfaction.

MAN 01-02 - Universal Robots Manipulators
MAN01 - UR3e
UR3e Universal Robots - it is a small collaborative table-top robot, perfect for light assembly tasks and automated logistics scenarios. The compact table-top cobot weighs only 11 kg (24.3 lbs) but has a payload of 3 kg (6.6 lbs), ±360° rotation on all wrist joints, and infinite rotation on the end joint.
MAN02 - UR5e
UR5e Universal Robots - equipped with intuitive programming, versatile use, and an almost endless list of opportunities for add-ons, the UR5e is able to complement production regardless of your industry, company size, or product nature. UR5 weighs 20.6 kg (45.4 lbs), has a payload of 5 kg (11 lbs), and reaches up to 850 mm (33.5 in).
MAN01-02 - UR Control Unit in the User Compartment
The arm controller has been integrated into the interior of the Panther. Some components of the controller, e.g. the main computer, are located in the User Compartment. The power converter and energy eater have been placed in the side Service Spaces of the Panther.
MAN 03-07 - Kinova Manipulators
Kinova Manipulators are efficient and portable. You can move the robot between research teams, applications, projects, and environments with a quick setup time. Designed for indoor as well as outdoor mobile robotics such as Panther, Kinova manipulators will easily tackle medium or heavy-duty applications with ultimate flexibility.
MAN03 - Kinova Lite Robot
Kinova Lite - Gen3 lite runs on the powerful and robust Kinova Kortex API software, so you can seamlessly share programming and collaborate with other Gen3 lite or Gen3 units.
MAN04
6DoF Kinova Gen3 Robot + Robotiq 2F-85 - with 2F-85 Adaptive Gripper, embedded controller, small footprint, lightness, and low power consumption.
MAN05
6DoF Kinova Gen3 Robot with 3D vision + Robotiq 2F-85 - with a 3D vision module you can extend the possibilities of your manipulator.
MAN06
7DoF Kinova Gen3 Robot + Robotiq 2F-85 - with seven degrees of freedom you increase the robot's maximum reach to 902 mm making it more adaptable for any path-breaking research and development.
MAN07
7DoF Kinova Gen3 Robot with 3D vision + Robotiq 2F-85 - with extended reach, vision module, and Robotiq gripper makes it the most versatile available option for this model.
Gripper (GRP)
Grippers as an obligatory complement to manipulators give open possibilities for automating tasks that you require. With multiple gripping and sensing systems for industrial automation, you can easily design collaborative applications to work side-by-side with collaborative robots on machine tending, surface finishing, or testing.

GRP01 - Robotiq Hand-E
Robotiq Hand-E - is simple to integrate into your environment and easy for workers of all skill levels to use. It can easily adapt to the task at hand, letting you use just one gripper for all your applications. Robotiq’s software suite helps you optimize its work in any condition. Hand-E’s design adheres to standard best practices, with maximum force, rounded edges, and self-locking functionalities to avoid flying parts. It also speeds up the risk assessment process needed to comply with ISO/TS 15066.
GRP02-03 - Robotiq 2F-85 and 2F-140
Robotiq 2F-85 and 2F-140 - adaptive grippers are made for collaborative robots. With two wide stroke options: 85 mm and 140 mm, they are key to a highly flexible and reliable robotic cell. Robust, factory-proven hardware with a patented finger design enables multiple grip modes. One software interface for all Adaptive Gripper models allows the user to install a gripper in just a few minutes.
GRP04-05 - OnRobot RG2 and RG6
OnRobot RG2 and RG6 - are flexible grippers cooperating with an integrated Quick Changer up to 110 mm or 150 mm stroke. Thanks to the single system solution, the unique software features significantly reduce production time and engineering hours. Customizable fingertips provide significant gripping flexibility and customers can use one tool for different parts of the manufacturing process, maximizing robot utilization.
GRP06 - OnRobot RG2-FT
OnRobot RG2-FT - is equipped with sensors and intelligent systems. It has a built-in proximity sensor and force/torque sensor for highly accurate automation. Placement processes as well as other tasks can be carried out faster and more accurately. The RG2-FT gripper offers high productivity, and fast deployment, eliminating the need for hours of engineering to integrate the product into the system.
GRP07 - OnRobot 2FG7
OnRobot 2FG7 - is a complete, affordable, ready-to-use electric parallel gripper that can be deployed in just minutes without standard installation, programming, or maintenance work. The 2FG7 can be easily re-deployed to virtually any collaborative or light industrial robot, making it ideal for low-volume, high-variety short-run production.
Communication
Apply an additional interface or antenna to increase the level of control and communication with your Panther.
ANT01 - Wi-Fi Only
2x standard antenna - every basic version of a Panther is equipped with two small Wi-Fi dual-band SMA antennas which guarantee a safe and easy connection to your robot.
ANT02 - Wi-Fi + LTE + GPS
Antenna 003R-00253 (Wi-Fi + LTE + GPS) - consists of five integrated antennas: two LTE antennas, two Wi-Fi antennas, and a GPS antenna. Designed for roof mounting, it is ideal as an extension of the navigation capabilities of the Panthera. Please note that choosing this option excludes ANT01 from the configuration.
CAN01 - USB to CAN Interface
USB - CAN interface with the compatible software.
SB01 - USB to RS-232/RS-485 Interface
USB - RS232/RS-485 interface with the compatible software.
SB03 - USB to I2C/SPI Interface
SB03 is a hardware adapter for Panther that provides I2C and SPI interfaces for external devices. More details here.
Positioning
Use additional equipment to position your Panther with greater precision and reliability even in areas where GPS connection may be weaker or temporarily unavailable.
RTK01 - Fixposition Vision-RTK 2 Starter Kit
Vision RTK 2 is an easy-to-use, highly accurate position sensor. The fusion of RTK GNSS observations, visual odometry, IMU measurements, and wheel odometry enables autonomous navigation systems to operate wherever conventional GNSS positioning systems fail. Additional kits (DEV)
A group of add-ons that will facilitate the development of a project based on the Panther platform.
DEV01 - User Compartment Cover with a Quick Access Panel
DEV01 option is a modified top cover for Panther to enable easy access and cables (up to 8 mm in diameter) passthrough to electronics in user space while offering IP31 protection (bodies larger than 2.5 mm and water droplets). Ideal option for development work inside buildings.
While using the DEV01 module whole Panther is derated to IP31 protection.
Quick access is provided by a panel mounted with 4 knurled thumb nuts, which can be unscrewed by hand.
Installation
The Panther DEV01 module is fixed to Panther the same way, as IP54 Cover with 8x DIN 912 M5x12 bolts. More details here.
DEV02 - Handles for Carrying the Robot
The Husarion Panther can be configured with option DEV02 to enable easier manual lifting and moving of the platform. It consists of 4 plastic handles mounted to bumpers.
Installation
The DEV02 module has to be fastened to bumpers with 8x DIN 912 M5x12 equipped with lock washers and nuts for aluminum profiles.
DEV03 - Mounting Plate for Mounting Rails
A plate dedicated to carrying irregular loads on the robot and facilitating the quick assembly of devices on the robot. Made of non-slip plywood, 15 mm thick, moisture resistant, 520 x 500 mm in size, mounted 6 mm above the top rails of the robot.
Installation
DEV03 is mounted directly to standard railings on the top of the robot with 8x DIN 912 M5x22 bolts. The set includes the necessary nuts for aluminum profiles and spacers.
DEV04 - 370 mm High Frame for Sensors
It is a truss structure made of light aluminum profiles that raise the robot's mounting surface (pattern of standard top rails) to a height of 720 mm (2.36 ft). Sensors can be installed on every profile. At the top of the structure, other DEV modules can be mounted on the railings, for example, DEV03.
Installation
The frame should be assembled and mounted to the standard top railings according to the diagram below using 32x DIN 912 M5x8 bolts with dedicated nuts for aluminum profiles.
To umount the DEV04 truss structure from the railings, unscrew 12 screws.
DEV05 - 350 mm Pillar for Sensors
The column is designed for mounting light devices at a height of up to 700 mm. It allows you to easily place a camera or similar sensors, significantly improving its field of view.
Installation
Using 8x DIN 912 M5x8 screws, mount the column to any profile of the top railings of the robot or other DEV module.
DEV06 - Basket on Railings
Basket with a plywood bottom, which is used to transport loose items without the need to fix them. The external dimensions of the basket are 500 x 420 x 200 mm.
Installation
The basket elements should be attached to the plate and screwed together using DIN 912 M6x16 and DIN 912 M5x8 bolts.
